What does your blood type say about your personality?

Michigan Blood notes that there is no scientific evidence that correlates blood type to personality. In some parts of the world, like Japan, it's widely believed that blood types predict personality traits - from temperament to compatibility, to how romantic you are. It’s not much different than reading your daily horoscope and believing your personality is in the hands of the solar planets, yet lots of people do this. It’s whimsical fun based on plenty of informal ‘studies’ that generalize blood type characteristics.

Nonscientific Blood Type Personalities

When investigating common traits by blood type, independent ‘studies’ found:

Type A’s --
most often describe themselves as sensitive to the needs of others, good listeners, detail oriented, analytical, creative and inventive. Type A’s may appear calm on the outside, but they have their share of anxiety and worry, which may mean they are impatient and unable to sleep well. A’s like to be fashionable and are up on the latest trends, but never flashy or gaudy. They also say they like romantic settings. A types are most compatible with A and AB in the love department.

TYPE B's -- often describe themselves as creative, flexible, people-oriented, individualistic, optimistic, passionate, subjective, intuitive, easygoing, original and flexible.   They also reported that they learned best through listening, then reflecting on and interpreting what they had observed. Type B's can be very goal-oriented, outgoing, charming, and good at reading people and providing support. B is most compatible with B and AB in the love department.
TYPE AB’s -- often describe themselves as emotional, passionate, friendly, trusting, patient, and empathetic. Not surprisingly, AB’s may have both A and B traits and be shy and outgoing, and hesitant and confident. AB’s may stand out from others, be logical and determined to do things correctly.  They don't sweat the small stuff.  AB can find a soul mate with any other blood type. If you find an AB for a friend, consider yourself lucky because there is never a dull moment in an AB's life. You’ll enjoy some exciting times together!
TYPE O’s –- often describe themselves as self-confident, ambitious, expressive, driven to be successful and not afraid of taking risks.  Other characteristics include being responsible, organized, decisive, and practical and fact oriented.  They are often popular, good leaders, and seem to be the center of attention.  Love wise, O is most compatible with O and AB.

Michigan Blood reminds us that blood donors of ALL types are the quiet, lifesaving heroes living amongst us.  They are generous, selfless, compassionate, community-oriented volunteers, regardless of their blood type.  They are not afraid of a quick needle prick and they put the health challenges of the patients they are helping before themselves.
