Donors, Recipients, and Volunteers –

Tell Us Your Story!

Our Mission

To connect patients that are in need of a bone marrow or stem cell transplant with their matching donor.

Our Values

Michigan Blood is proud to be a donor center for the National Marrow Donor Program's Be The Match Registry. Thousands of patients are diagnosed each year with leukemia, lymphoma, or any one of 70 other life-threatening diseases for which a bone marrow or stem cell transplant is their only hope for a cure. These patients turn to the Be The Match Registry in hopes of finding a suitable donor match for their life-saving transplant.

Our Goals

Michigan Blood is dedicated to recruiting 4,000 new potential donors in 2018 and to raising funds to help with the recruitment, retention, and commitment of new registry members.

Derrick Nash, a Saginaw native and CMU football player, shared his story and battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, helping add more than 500 new potential donors to the Registry in November 2014.
