Michigan Blood Partners with Covenant HealthCare to Support Covenant Kids

“Michigan Blood is proud to partner with Covenant HealthCare as its exclusive blood provider,” said Tamar Chipp, public relations supervisor at Michigan Blood. “This blood drive enables Michigan Blood to support the community twice by making a donation to the Covenant Kids Fund and ensuring blood supply for Covenant HealthCare and our nine other partner hospitals in Mid-Michigan.”

Welcome to Carolyn Wyllie, Public Relations Supervisor for Southwest Michigan

Michigan Blood recently hired Carolyn Wyllie as its new public relations supervisor.

Wyllie will lead the nonprofit organization’s community and media relations efforts in the Southwest Michigan area.

Wyllie’s background includes extensive experience as a broadcast journalist. She served most recently as a reporter at Newschannel 3, WWMT-TV covering Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Grand Rapids for 12 years. She also has been a reporter at WLNS-TV in Lansing, and assignment editor at WOOD-TV8 in Grand Rapids. A lifelong Michigan resident, Wyllie lives in the Kalamazoo area. She is committed to community involvement, including her role as a longtime volunteer with Greater Kalamazoo Girls on the Run. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University

Michigan Blood to Donate $10 Per Donor to Hunt for the Cure at Local Blood Drives

Greenville High School is collaborating with Michigan Blood to host a blood drive on Friday, February 10, 2012 at not only the high school from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., but also at Spectrum Health United Memorial from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For every attempted donation at both drives, Michigan Blood will donate $10 to Hunt for the Cure.
