Michigan Blood To Host Open House at Renovated Saginaw Donor Center

Michigan Blood’s Saginaw Donor Center is hosting an open house to showcase renovations at the facility.

The public is invited to view the renovations from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at the Center, 1771 Tittabawassee in Carrollton Township. A ribbon cutting ceremony will start the event at 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The 12,000-square-foot facility features new donor beds, larger screening rooms, larger restrooms, new furniture, and a flat screen television for donors.

“The new upgrades will help Michigan Blood create a remarkable donor experience and enhance the work environment for our staff,” said Tamar Chipp, public relations supervisor at Michigan Blood. “Overall, we are excited about the improvements and see this as an investment for the future.”

In the Great Lakes Bay Region, among others, Michigan Blood supplies all of the blood used at Covenant HealthCare, St. Mary’s of Michigan, and MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland.
