Event to kick off U of M vs. MSU football weekend in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Whether it’s a chance to win tickets to the game, hang out with other fans or get fired up for the rivalry weekend, University of Michigan and Michigan State University fans won’t want to miss the 36th annual Crying Towel Party—a happy hour featuring prizes, pizza and drink specials. The event is Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at JB Meinberg’s and Woody O’Brien’s at 116 S. Hamilton Street in Saginaw.

The cost is $5 at the door. MSU alumni can save $2 off the price of admission by showing their MSU Alumni Association membership card.

Attendees will have an opportunity to win a set of tickets to the U of M versus MSU football game on November 2 in East Lansing, along with other prizes.

The event also partners with Michigan Blood for its annual Revenge Blood Drive. Fans are encouraged to donate blood from October 1-26 at any Michigan Blood donor center in the Great Lakes Bay Region and cast a vote for U of M or MSU. The winner will be announced at the Crying Towel Party. To schedule an appointment, call 1.866.MIBLOOD or visit www.miblood.org.
