Michigan Blood Partners with Berlin Raceway

Participants in June 29 blood drive to receive free ticket, food and chance to win $500 promotional packet

Blood and car racing may not conjure up a positive picture, but in this case, Michigan Blood and the Berlin Raceway have put together a winning scenario.  On Saturday, Michigan Blood will host a blood drive at the Berlin Raceway (2060 Berlin Fair Drive in Marne, Michigan) from 4-7 pm. All eligible persons who attempt to donate blood will receive a free ticket to Saturday’s race, $3 off on a ticket for a friend, and a meal voucher.  Participants also will be entered to win a $500 valued Berlin Raceway package which includes a 2014 Season Pass, an 8-lap ride along in the “Ride of a Lifetime” 2-seater car, a t-shirt, cap, water bottle, and key chain.  The winner will be announced at the race on Saturday, August 3, 2013.

To donate, you must be 17 years old (16 with written parent’s/guardian’s consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and pass the health screening.  You also may not have donated whole blood within the past 56 days of attempting to donate. Potential donors that are 16 years old should read the information provided on the Michigan Blood website by following this www.miblood.org/donating-blood, and bring their signed permission form.

Blood donors should bring photo ID (or two forms of non-photo ID). For additional information on donating blood, check out www.miblood.org.
