Give blood and thank local first-responders in honor of the 9/11 anniversary

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. (August 22, 2016) –15 years ago, more than 400 firefighters and police officers lost their lives during the 9/11 terror attacks. Countless other first responders continue to put their lives on the line for us every day. This Labor Day, honor a hero.

Donate blood over the Labor Day weekend, September 1 – 5, 2016. You could save a life across the state or right here at home – and that makes you a hero, too.

Every person who attempts to donate at Michigan Blood during the Labor Day promotion September 1-5 will receive a free $10 gift card courtesy of Meijer. After your donation, we invite you to sign a thank you card, which will be delivered to local first responders in honor of the 15th Anniversary of 9/11.

Check out the Michigan Blood “Labor Day - Honor a Hero” schedule of event dates and times for your local donation center below. Appointments are preferred for donor convenience, but not mandatory. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-866-MIBLOOD (642-5663) or schedule online through our donor portal.
