Gourmet Tasting Event Will Benefit Michigan Community Blood Centers

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (October 11, 2007): G. B. Russo & Son International Grocery will sponsor a fundraiser fit for gourmet tastes on Friday, November 9 to benefit Madonna’s Raising Malawi Foundation (for orphans) and Michigan Community Blood Centers: the “Pre-Holiday Wine and Gourmet Food Tasting”, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Pietro’s Applause Banquet Hall, 2728 Birchcrest Drive, SE, Grand Rapids.

Tickets for the “Pre-Holiday Wine and Gourmet Food Tasting” are $40 per person and can be purchased in advance at G. B. Russo & Son, 2770 29th Street, Grand Rapids.

The wine list for the event encompasses more than 40 domestic and international wines, including a table featuring a special selection of wines from Ciccone vineyards of Suttons Bay, with the limited edition Madonna Collector Wine series. The gourmet food menu includes a variety of pasta dishes, salads, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and coffee.
