Banks Invest Joint Effort in Unique Lifesaving Campaign

ROCKFORD, MI (December 7, 2007): Seven Rockford area banks are partnering with Michigan Community Blood Centers, the sole blood provider for local hospitals, in a first-of-its-kind, campaign to help save lives by hosting special blood drives this holiday season: the FIRST ANNUAL ROCKFORD AREA BANK BLOOD CHALLENGE.
From December 14 through January 4, the participating bank that collects the most blood (as a percentage of the bank’s employee census) will win the Challenge.

Every person who tries to give blood at any participating bank’s blood drive will receive a pair of fleece gloves and will be eligible to win a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card courtesy of ChoiceOne Bank. The winning bank will be recognized with a special plaque, and every person who donated at the winning bank will receive a Blood Center T-shirt.
