Sponsoring a blood drive is a great way to show that your organization cares about the community. A blood drive can also boost employee morale and support team-building.

To sponsor a blood drive, call the recruitment department in your area, toll-free in Michigan, at 1-866-MIBLOOD (642-5663) or send an e-mail to our Donor Relations staff in your region:

• West Michigan 
• Northwest Michigan
• Southwest Michigan
• East-Central Michigan

You’ll set a date, choose a place (if you don’t have the proper facilities, ask about our Blood Bus), and make preliminary arrangements. Then it’s time to promote the drive and recruit donors.

Everyone Can Help

Just because kids aren’t old enough to donate doesn’t mean they can’t help save lives. Scouts, Brownies, school groups (see our Jr. Lifesaver Program especially for elementary and middle schools), and church groups are just some of the organizations led by kids who promote blood drives. People are unable to donate blood can contribute by helping recruit, greet, and thank donors.
