A regular blood donor, Brian began organizing blood drives two years ago for Alaska Baptist Church, where he serves as pastor. The drives have been very successful but Brian doesn’t just donate at those times: he also regularly donates blood components through apheresis.
The special need that cancer patients have for blood components was brought home to Brian in a personal way when his wife’s mother suffered from leukemia at a young age. Now, Brian wants to help others who have the disease by regularly giving the gift of life.
